Lead System Administrator
Braze is seeking a Lead Systems Administrator to oversee the reliability, security, and operational excellence of our IT services. This role involves leading incident responses, conducting root cause analyses, and enhancing systems through automation and process improvements. The Lead Systems Administrator will also mentor team members and serve as a subject matter expert across multiple IT domains.
Key responsibilities include acting as the primary escalation point for the Service Desk to resolve complex technical issues, maintaining and configuring core IT services, and managing incident responses during service outages and security incidents. The role also involves providing advanced support for Google Workspace, troubleshooting integrations of IT SaaS platforms such as Okta and Slack, and designing custom scripts to improve system efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Slack, and Okta, along with knowledge of virtualization and cloud environments such as AWS or VMware. Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash or Python is essential. Strong networking fundamentals and familiarity with the OSI model are also required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role.
Braze offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs). The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $108,700 and $127,900 per year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $120,800 and $142,100 per year, including bonus or commission.
