Braze is seeking a Lead Systems Administrator to serve as the technical escalation point for the Service Desk, ensuring the reliability, security, and operational excellence of IT services. This role involves leading incident responses, conducting root cause analyses, and enhancing systems through automation and process improvements. The Lead Systems Administrator will also mentor team members and act as a subject matter expert across various IT domains.

Key responsibilities include investigating and resolving complex technical issues escalated from the Service Desk, maintaining and configuring core IT services, and managing business continuity. The role also involves acting as Incident Manager during service outages and security incidents, providing advanced support for platforms like Google Workspace, and troubleshooting integrations of IT SaaS applications such as Okta, Slack, and Zscaler. Additionally, the Lead Systems Administrator will design and maintain custom scripts to improve system efficiency and manage vendor relationships for IT services.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with experience supporting SaaS platforms, including Google Workspace, Slack, and Okta. Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, Python, or Ruby is essential, along with knowledge of virtualization and cloud environments such as AWS or VMware. Strong understanding of IT operations best practices, including security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery, is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize work based on impact and urgency are also important.
