Leadership Excellence & Acceleration Pathway Associate (Midwest Region)
The Leadership Excellence & Acceleration Pathway (LEAP) Associate role at Legend Biotech is a selective, high-impact position aimed at developing the next generation of commercial leaders within the biotechnology sector. This 18-24 month structured rotational program offers exposure across core commercial functions, including Field Sales, Marketing, and Market Access, providing participants with real accountability and senior leader engagement. LEAP Associates are responsible for driving execution by contributing to priority commercial initiatives and business-critical projects across functions. They translate strategy into actionable plans, support planning, analysis, and execution efforts that directly impact commercial performance, and operate cross-functionally by effectively partnering with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, and other stakeholders. Additionally, they are expected to bring structure and insight to ambiguous situations, using data, judgment, and stakeholder input to support sound decision-making.
Candidates for this role must possess a bachelor's degree and have 5–7 years of professional experience, demonstrating a strong track record of execution, ownership, and results delivery. Essential skills include strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities, along with an interest in biotech/pharma and commercial leadership pathways. Preferred qualifications include experience in disciplined, performance-driven environments, exposure to commercial, operational, analytical, or customer-facing roles, experience using data, analytics, digital tools, or AI-enabled solutions to support decision-making, and comfort working in complex, matrixed organizations.
The program offers developmental opportunities such as exposure to senior leadership, cross-functional rotations, mentorship and coaching, and potential placement into full-time commercial roles upon completion. Compensation for this position ranges from $142,146 to $186,567 annually, with additional performance-based bonuses and equity available to eligible employees.
