Legal Auditor
Wilson Elser is seeking a Legal Auditor to join its national Quality Assurance and Client Audit Services team. This role involves reviewing active legal files to capture key data points and assess file handling practices. The position offers a flexible remote working arrangement and is open to candidates in any state where the firm has an office.
Key responsibilities include reviewing files using the firm's cloud-based document management and time entry systems, accurately capturing data, evaluating file handling to identify both exceptional efforts and areas for improvement, and engaging in calibration exercises. Clear and concise writing skills are essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and have at least five years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense. While a current license is not required, the license must have been in good standing at the time it lapsed. Auditing experience at an insurance carrier is a plus. Candidates should be self-starters with acute attention to detail, comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and possess strong analytical and communication skills. Experience with electronically stored information and document management systems, including computer-assisted review technologies, is advantageous.
The position offers a salary range of $90,000 to $135,000, along with an outstanding benefits package that includes a 401(k) match and generous paid time off.
