Legal Counsel, Air Defense & Counter Intrusion
Anduril Industries is seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in Air Defense and Counter Intrusion to join its dynamic Legal Team. This role is integral to supporting the Frontier Systems Division, focusing on U.S. government contracts related to air defense and counter-intrusion technologies. The position is available in Washington, DC, or Costa Mesa, CA, and offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of defense technology innovation.
In this role, the Legal Counsel will oversee the entire acquisitions lifecycle, from proposal development to contract execution, ensuring compliance with federal procurement laws. Responsibilities include negotiating and managing government contracts, advising on data rights and contract structures, and collaborating with business development, proposal, and engineering teams to drive new government contracts and expand existing ones. Building and maintaining relationships with procurement representatives at government agencies is also a key aspect of the position.
Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in U.S. government contracts, preferably with a law firm or in-house at a government contractor. A solid understanding of the government procurement process, including contract vehicles, software acquisition approaches, and data rights issues, is essential. Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects independently. A license to practice law in California or Washington, D.C., and U.S. citizenship are mandatory due to access to export-controlled information.
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $191,000 to $253,000 annually, with highly competitive equity grants considered part of the total compensation.
