Legal Specialist
Hotmart, a global technology company and leader in the Creator Economy, is seeking a Legal Specialist to join our team in São Paulo, Brazil. As a Legal Specialist, you will collaborate closely with our Regulatory and Financial Services Business Units, providing expert legal guidance on financial services and payment systems.
In this position, you will be responsible for advising on matters related to payment methods and financial services, including sub-acquiring, electronic currency issuance, payment instruments, and digital wallets, both domestically and internationally. Your duties will encompass supporting the acquisition and maintenance of international regulatory licenses, structuring and reviewing operations involving investment funds and receivables anticipation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as Bacen, CVM, and international regulators. Additionally, you will prepare reports, legal opinions, and internal policies, and collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Product teams to support the development of new solutions.
The ideal candidate will hold a law degree with an active OAB license and possess experience in law firms or companies within the financial or technology sectors, focusing on payment regulation. Prior experience with Bacen, CVM, or international regulators is advantageous. Proficiency in English, both oral and written, is essential for effective communication with global regulators and partners. Practical knowledge of Brazilian regulations concerning Payment Institutions, Fintechs, and SCDs, as well as expertise in receivables anticipation, sub-acquiring, and payment arrangements, is required. Strong analytical skills, legal drafting abilities, and effective communication with various stakeholders are also crucial.
