Liaison Engineering Focal
Archer is seeking a Liaison Engineering Focal to join our team in Washington, United States. In this role, you will collaborate closely with design, analysis, and quality teams, both within Archer and with our suppliers, to address and resolve complex engineering challenges. Your contributions will be pivotal in advancing our mission to develop sustainable air mobility solutions through our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.
As a Liaison Engineering Focal, your primary responsibilities will include authoring repair instructions and dispositions for non-conforming components and assemblies, assisting the quality team with root cause and corrective action (RCCA) and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, and supporting supplier process development, which may involve travel to supplier locations. You will also be expected to encourage collaboration and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders, effectively bridging the gap between manufacturing, quality, and design teams.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of six years of experience in aerospace engineering, with a preference for expertise in composite and metallic structures. Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) processes for composite and metallic structures is essential. Proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly NX, and experience using Fibersim or Composite Workbench are required. A practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and real-life execution of inspection processes are also necessary. A bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience, is required.
Compensation for this position is targeted between $172,800 and $216,000 annually, with actual compensation determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
