Litigation Assistant (Employment Law)
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our Employment Law team in Los Angeles, California. As a key member of our legal support staff, you will play a vital role in managing the firm's daily operations and providing comprehensive assistance to our attorneys. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment within a firm committed to advocating for consumer rights.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative and legal support tasks. Your duties will include scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistical aspects of cases. Additionally, you will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing client billing are also key components of this position.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute are essential.
This on-site position offers an hourly wage of $30.00.
