Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our Jacksonville, Florida office. This role involves close collaboration with a lead attorney and litigation paralegal, contributing to our mission of advocating for consumer rights. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting legal proceedings and ensuring efficient case management.
Key responsibilities include performing administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Additionally, tasks involve collecting and organizing evidence, drafting and proofreading legal correspondence, conducting legal research, managing client billing, and coordinating meetings with clients and witnesses.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or Paralegal Certificate. A minimum of two years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Candidates should be highly organized, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, first-party, or other injury-related practice areas is preferred.
