Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our team in Monmouth, New Jersey. As a Litigation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the firm's daily operations and providing essential support to our legal team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment within a leading personal injury law firm.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include performing administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will collect and organize evidence for attorney review, draft and proofread legal correspondence, and manage client billing processes. Effective communication with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions will also be a key aspect of your day-to-day work.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate. A minimum of two years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Candidates should be highly organized, capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
This on-site position offers an hourly wage of $26.45. Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
