Litigation Paralegal
Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices nationwide, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for its Indianapolis office. The Litigation Paralegal will play a critical role in case preparation by obtaining medical records through authorizations and subpoenas, ensuring timely follow-ups with providers. Responsibilities include maintaining and streamlining case data with well-structured discovery and records organizational charts, conducting vital research through Open Public Records Requests and background investigations, analyzing and summarizing medical records, supporting attorneys in depositions and discovery, managing document productions, preparing materials for expert witness review, and keeping case files impeccably organized.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, with a Paralegal Certificate preferred, and have at least 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in insurance defense. Exceptional writing and communication skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, proficiency in drafting subpoenas and maintaining detailed records, strong organizational skills, and technical proficiency in legal research tools and case management software are essential.
