M&A Analyst

Banyan Software is seeking an M&A Analyst to join our dynamic team in Toronto, Ontario. As a key contributor to our high-energy M&A team, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing and evaluating acquisition opportunities, conducting due diligence, and driving transaction processes. This position offers exposure to diverse industries and business models, providing a unique and rewarding experience within a rapidly growing organization.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Banyan’s M&A and executive teams to identify and assess potential acquisitions. Your responsibilities will include leading conversations with business owners and advisors, preparing and analyzing financial models, and managing the entire M&A process—from detailed due diligence to drafting investment memorandums and crafting integration strategies. Additionally, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders across legal, technology, HR, and tax functions to ensure seamless transaction execution.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in Business or Finance from a competitive institution, coupled with a minimum of two years of M&A experience in private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, or the software industry. Proficiency in building financial models, advanced written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for the software industry are essential. Ambitious career goals and the flexibility to work within a fast-paced environment are also key attributes for success in this role.

Banyan Software offers a competitive base salary ranging from CAD $70,000 to $110,000, excluding annual bonuses and equity opportunities. Compensation is based on factors such as market conditions, location, and individual qualifications and experience.
