Manager, Accounting
May Mobility is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its growing Finance team. This role involves building and scaling new processes, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating across functions. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Director of Accounting.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the monthly financial close process to ensure accuracy in internal and external reporting, reviewing and preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, and providing technical accounting guidance. The role also involves supporting the internal control environment through activities such as approving new vendors and expenditures, reviewing payroll registers, and assisting in the implementation and documentation of internal controls. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will manage relationships with external accounting service providers and oversee global consolidations.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with a minimum of seven years of experience in corporate accounting, finance, or public accounting, including at least three years in a management role. A strong understanding of US GAAP, proficiency in Excel, and an active CPA license are required. Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are also essential. Experience with NetSuite ERP and a background in the automotive or manufacturing industry are desirable.
