Manager, Accounting

Skylo Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting team in Mountain View, CA. As a key member of the Controllership team, reporting to the Controller, you will oversee core accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain internal controls in compliance with US GAAP and company policies. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to improve accounting processes through automation and finance systems.

In this position, you will develop and maintain scalable accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. You will manage key components of the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for key balance sheet accounts. Additionally, you will perform financial analysis and monthly variance reviews to support management reporting and business decision-making. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating accounting and reporting for foreign subsidiaries to ensure alignment between local statutory reporting and US GAAP reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and hold a CPA certification. You should have over six years of accounting experience, including time with Big 4 firms and technology companies. A strong knowledge of US GAAP, experience researching and documenting technical accounting conclusions, and proficiency with finance systems such as NetSuite, Expensify, or FloQast are essential. Experience using automation, analytics, or AI tools to improve accounting processes is also highly valued.
