Manager, Engineering (Business Technology)
Garner Health is seeking a Manager of Engineering for its Business Technology division to lead the development of internal employee systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Garner's internal platforms scale effectively during the company's rapid growth phase. The position reports directly to the VP of Platform Engineering and is based in Garner's New York City office, located in the Financial District. The role requires in-office presence three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
In this capacity, the Engineering Manager will oversee Garner's identity provider solution, ensuring seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences for employees and contractors while upholding stringent security standards. Additionally, the role involves managing Garner's internal network to provide a consistent and efficient networking experience for employees at the New York City headquarters. The manager will be responsible for the growth and development of the business technology team, including capacity planning, hiring, development, and termination of support and systems engineering resources. Establishing and monitoring key performance metrics, such as support SLA adherence, will also be a critical aspect of the role.
Ideal candidates will possess a strong track record in managing strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring that technical roadmaps align with Garner's internal and employee experience objectives. The ability to identify and address resource misallocations, focusing the team on high-impact opportunities, is essential. A systematic approach to driving innovation and enhancing the internal employee experience is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to operating with urgency, taking ownership of results, and providing constructive feedback to foster team development. Experience with technologies such as Okta, Iru, Crowdstrike, Serval/Ravenna, Claude, Google Workspace, and macOS is advantageous.
The compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $239,000 to $292,000 annually. In addition to the base salary, the position offers participation in equity incentive plans and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes flexible paid time off, medical, dental, and vision plan options, a 401(k) plan, and access to Teladoc Health services.
