Manager, Field Sales - Central South
Square is seeking a seasoned sales leader to spearhead our newly established field sales organization in the Central South region. This role involves engaging with Territory Account Executives and local sellers to embody Square's mission of economic empowerment and provide a localized presence. The Manager will oversee a team of approximately eight high-velocity Territory Account Executives, focusing on small to medium-sized businesses, including restaurants, retailers, and service-based enterprises.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic business plans to capture and retain market share in assigned cities. The Manager will build a high-performance sales culture emphasizing individual and team development, co-selling, coaching, recognition, and accountability. This role requires a data-driven approach, utilizing key performance indicators to inform decisions and identify market growth opportunities. Additionally, the Manager will collaborate with cross-functional partners to generate top-of-funnel leads, establish local partnerships, and enhance Square's brand awareness through community engagement.
The ideal candidate will have over eight years of sales success, preferably in a high-growth company, and at least five years of leadership experience managing field account executives. Experience in high-transaction volume SaaS applications or financial services sales is essential. A proven track record of creating a winning culture that performs at a high level, extensive experience in a metrics-driven sales organization, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams are also required. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and communication skills are critical for success in this role.
Compensation for this position varies based on location, with annual salaries ranging from $123,400 to $223,100, inclusive of target variable compensation.
