Manager, Media Planning
The Manager, Media Planning at WPP Media is responsible for leading end-to-end media planning and buying for global retail, youth culture, and consumer brands across Southeast Asian markets. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop integrated media strategies and drive award-winning campaigns. The manager will also manage client relationships, ensure campaign KPIs are met, and contribute to annual planning efforts.
Key responsibilities include managing brand campaigns, leading weekly client meetings, and ensuring campaign KPIs are achieved. The manager will build strategies based on insights, determine media channel selection, and propose innovative ideas. Additionally, they will track campaign KPIs, ensure effective optimization, and deliver performance using relevant teams, processes, and technology. The role also involves understanding and ensuring cross-utilization of audience from brand campaigns to eCommerce campaigns, measuring success, and contributing to annual planning efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in communication, media, or business management, with at least 5 years of media planning experience. They should possess proven expertise in media planning, with a strong understanding of digital and offline media, and familiarity with the Southeast Asian media landscape and Gen Z trends. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. The candidate should be able to work successfully with teams, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
