The Manager, Programmatic Buying Unit (PBU) at WPP Media leads a team of programmatic executives and specialists, ensuring the delivery of top-tier programmatic media buying and campaign execution for assigned client portfolios. This role focuses on campaigns across platforms such as DV360, Google Ads, YouTube, and The Trade Desk. WPP Media is WPP's AI-driven media operating unit, integrating media, data, and partnerships to provide creative personalization at scale.
Key responsibilities include acting as the subject matter expert for programmatic services, particularly for campaigns on DV360, Google Ads, YouTube, and The Trade Desk. The manager takes a hands-on role in setting up, optimizing, and troubleshooting campaigns, serving as the ultimate technical expert for the team. Collaboration with the Campaign Delivery Team to review client requirements and develop best practices is essential. Additionally, the role involves identifying and implementing tools and process improvements, including automation, to enhance team efficiency. Providing actionable insights from campaign reports to inform optimizations and future strategies is also a key aspect.
The ideal candidate possesses 4-6+ years of experience in programmatic and digital marketing, preferably within media agencies, with proven experience managing and executing campaigns across platforms including DV360, Google Ads (Search & YouTube), and The Trade Desk. Platform certifications across major DSP platforms are highly desirable. Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-changing environment are required. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team, set clear objectives, and contribute to problem-solving, are essential. Strong technical proficiency and hands-on execution skills in programmatic platforms are necessary to effectively lead and support the team.
