Manager, Planning
The Manager, Planning at WPP Media is responsible for overseeing daily account activities and translating marketing and advertising objectives into comprehensive media strategies. This role involves developing media plans aligned with approved strategies and mentoring Associate(s) and Senior Associate(s) to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Director on communication plan development, understanding client businesses to inform future work, supervising the implementation of approved plans, conducting marketing and media analyses, and serving as the primary contact for external agency partners. The Manager will also guide and counsel junior team members, train staff in media and marketing disciplines, evaluate performance through the talent development process, provide updates to media and agency partners, and manage media financial accountability with Client Accounting and agency partners.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communication, or have equivalent professional work experience. A minimum of 3-4 years in strategy/planning, preferably within a media agency setting, is required. Fluency in both written and spoken Spanish and English is essential. Experience across all media channels (digital and traditional), proficiency with tools such as MediaOcean and Prisma, and a background in data-driven environments are advantageous. The role demands the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and adaptability to take direction and multitask.
