Manager, Planning
The Planning Manager at WPP Media is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media strategies for a diverse portfolio of brands. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated campaign plans that align with client objectives and drive measurable business results. WPP Media is WPP's AI-driven media operating unit, bringing together media, data, and partnerships to deliver creative personalization at scale.
Key responsibilities include developing and presenting media strategies and implementation plans to clients, overseeing the day-to-day management of media campaigns from briefing to post-campaign analysis, and ensuring projects are tracked and measured based on agreed KPIs and media efficiencies. The Planning Manager will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, work with key media partners for implementation planning and negotiations, and keep clients and the wider team updated on new digital trends and changes in the media landscape.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital or integrated media planning, with a strong background in media planning and buying across all digital and media platforms. Hands-on experience with advertising technology platforms such as ad servers, DSPs, and Facebook Ads Manager is essential. The candidate should possess highly evolved presentation and reporting skills, demonstrated experience in a client-facing role, and the ability to coach and guide junior team members. A passion for data, insights, and ideation is also important.
