Manager, Strategic Account Management
The UK Account Management organisation at Square is seeking a customer-focused leader to manage a team of Strategic Account Managers within the UK Mid-Market Team. This role is pivotal in driving the retention and growth of Square's largest sellers, contributing significantly to the company's expansion in the UK market.
The Manager will lead a distributed team of seven Strategic Account Managers, ensuring consistent achievement of positive revenue outcomes while maintaining a high return on investment. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one coaching and performance management, serving as an escalation point for customer challenges, and fostering cross-functional collaboration through beta programs, co-marketing, and product insights.
Candidates should possess over seven years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management, with at least three years in a direct management role within a high-growth technology company. Experience in the Payments, POS, Hospotech, or Fintech industries is essential, along with a proven track record of identifying opportunities and developing actionable plans. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as experience working cross-functionally with product teams and serving as a senior escalation point for customers.
