Manager, West Coast Sales
The Manager, West Coast Sales at PitchBook Data leads a team of Sales Representatives and Account Managers, providing day-to-day guidance, support, and motivation to help team members reach individual and collective goals. Key responsibilities include leading, coaching, and supporting a team of Sales and/or Account Managers to achieve and exceed individual and team revenue targets. The role involves monitoring and managing team pipeline health within the assigned segment, ensuring accurate forecasting and consistent performance. The Manager drives individual and team performance by providing regular feedback, setting clear expectations, and performance management to address gaps and support ongoing growth. Additionally, the role supports team members in complex negotiations and deal structuring, ensuring alignment with company policies and business objectives.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of experience in sales or account management, including 2+ years in a supervisory or people management role. Candidates should have proven success managing opportunities and workflows using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close complex deals effectively, and a deep understanding of financial markets or services, especially private equity and venture capital. The role requires a passion for coaching, career development, and training to build and sustain top-performing sales teams, as well as exceptional organizational skills and high emotional intelligence.
Compensation for this role includes an annual base salary of $150,000, with an annual on-target variable commission of $60,000 for a fully ramped representative meeting expectations.
