Market Development Representative (Early Career, Inbound Sales)

As a Market Development Representative at PitchBook Data, you will be the initial point of contact for new business opportunities, playing a crucial role in the sales cycle that leads to contract execution. This position is integral to our Sales Team, which focuses on acquiring new enterprise clients and driving company growth. PitchBook Data is a leading provider of private market data and analytics, dedicated to delivering comprehensive insights to our clients.

In this role, your primary responsibilities include engaging and converting inbound leads into new sales opportunities for our Small Medium Business Sales Team. You will conduct consistent outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to schedule product demonstrations, connect with leads through written and verbal communication, and maintain accurate records using our tool stack. Additionally, you will act as a consultant, understanding prospects' needs and business priorities to address them appropriately.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree and demonstrates fearless curiosity with a strong sense of urgency to deliver results. While prior sales internship experience and familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and LeanData/BookIt are preferred, they are not mandatory. Strong negotiation skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite are essential. An interest in capital markets and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are also important.

Compensation for this position includes a base salary of $65,000, with an on-target commission of $27,500, totaling an annual income of $92,500.
