As a Market Development Representative at PitchBook, you will be the initial point of contact for new business opportunities, playing a crucial role in the sales cycle that leads to contract execution. This position is integral to our Sales Team, which focuses on acquiring new enterprise clients and driving company growth. PitchBook, a Morningstar company, is dedicated to providing comprehensive data and analysis on the capital markets, helping professionals discover and execute opportunities.

In this role, your primary responsibilities include engaging and converting inbound leads into new sales opportunities for our Small Medium Business Sales Team. You will achieve this by consistently reaching out to warm leads through phone, email, and LinkedIn to schedule product demonstrations. Maintaining accurate records using our tool stack and understanding prospects' needs to address them appropriately are also key aspects of the day-to-day work.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree and demonstrates a strong sense of curiosity and urgency to deliver results. While prior sales internship experience and familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and LeanData/BookIt are preferred, they are not mandatory. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite are essential. An interest in the capital markets and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are also important.

Compensation for this position includes a base salary of $65,000, with an on-target commission of $27,500, totaling an annual income of $92,500.
