Mass Properties Engineer, Air Vehicles
Anduril Industries is seeking a Mass Properties Engineer to join their Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering Team. This team is responsible for designing and integrating advanced hardware for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms, overseeing the full development lifecycle from concept generation to integration and flight testing. In this role, the engineer will develop, track, and maintain mass properties data, including weight, center of gravity, and inertia, throughout the air vehicle design phases. Responsibilities include defining mass properties-related design requirements, providing guidance on vehicle and subsystem configuration trade studies, supporting weight and balance control efforts, estimating and verifying mass properties of components and assemblies, and generating mass properties reports and manuals.
Candidates must possess a B.S. or M.E. degree, or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years of experience in the aerospace or related industry. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance is required. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Siemens NX, an active Top Secret DoD clearance, and experience in UAV design.
The position offers a salary range of $129,000 to $171,000 USD, with actual compensation varying based on factors such as experience and skills.
