Mechanical Assembler - all levels
Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking Mechanical Assemblers at various experience levels to join our team at the Space Structures Complex in Middle River, MD. This role involves assembling components for the Neutron Launch Vehicle, contributing to our mission of delivering responsive launch services and spacecraft manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include building mechanical structures and related components, integrating mechanical hardware, and maintaining shop cleanliness and organization. Assemblers will work closely with a high-caliber, cross-functional team to ensure the successful production of launch vehicle structures.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and experience in mechanical assembly, technical repair, or mechanical maintenance in a regulated manufacturing or maintenance environment. Familiarity with hand, power, pneumatic, and inspection tools is essential. Specific experience requirements vary by level: Level I requires 2+ years, Level II requires 5+ years, and Level III requires 8+ years of relevant experience.
Additional qualifications include the ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lbs unassisted, and work in tight spaces. An A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) certification and experience in the aerospace industry are advantageous but not mandatory.
