Anduril Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering Team, focusing on the design and integration of advanced hardware for high-speed missile platforms. This role involves overseeing the full development lifecycle, from initial concept through integration and flight testing, to ensure the creation of high-performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems suitable for complex and contested environments.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating hardware for high-speed air vehicles. Key duties include leading design reviews, conducting analyses, visiting vendors, and defining and executing hardware test plans. The role also involves building prototypes, analyzing failures, transitioning successful projects into production, and supporting critical hardware demonstrations with customers. Travel to test sites or vendor locations may be required as needed.

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in advanced air vehicle programs, with familiarity in hypersonic missile systems and military standards. Hands-on experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems into high-speed air vehicles is essential. Proficiency in designing mechanical parts using CAD software and a strong understanding of various manufacturing methods, including machining, sheet metal work, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, and composite lamination, are required. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering is necessary, along with eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $129,000 to $171,000 annually, with actual compensation varying based on factors such as work experience, education, critical skills, and business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers. Anduril provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision plans at little to no cost, income protection through life and disability insurance, generous time off with a holiday hiatus in December, family planning and parenting support, mental health resources, professional development reimbursement, commuter benefits, and relocation assistance where applicable.

Joining Anduril Industries offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment dedicated to transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. The company emphasizes cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology, aiming to deliver impactful solutions to the military in months, not years. This role provides significant growth opportunities within a company committed to rapid innovation and real-world impact.
