The Mental Health Leave and Accommodations (MHLA) Clinician at Spring Health is responsible for evaluating mental health-related leave and accommodation requests, providing clinically sound and unbiased recommendations. This newly established role offers the opportunity to shape standards, workflows, and best practices from the ground up. Key responsibilities include performing objective mental health evaluations to assess symptomatology and functional impairment, determining the appropriateness of leave and workplace accommodations, and developing concise evaluation summaries that clearly articulate clinical rationale and recommendations. The clinician will also coordinate with employer representatives and third-party disability administrators to support accurate and timely determinations, offer ethical treatment plan recommendations aligned with the member’s clinical needs, and maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation.

Required qualifications include a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program, an unrestricted license to practice independently, and an active APIT (PsyPact) credential. Candidates should have clinical experience conducting mental health assessments, the ability to work a full 40-hour workweek, strong telehealth competency, excellent written communication skills, high ethical standards, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary, remote team.

The target base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $116,250, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits.
