MES Engineer
The MES Engineer will be part of the Manufacturing Excellence team at Legend Biotech's Raritan, NJ site, reporting to the Manufacturing Execution Systems Lead. This role focuses on the development and administration of electronic batch records (EBRs) to support production processes, collaborating with various departments such as Tech Support, Process Improvement, Validation, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory CMC, and IT.
Key responsibilities include developing, modeling, and deploying EBRs within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), coordinating with departments to gather user requirements, and delivering robust EBR designs. The MES Engineer will participate in design testing, release planning, and serve as a subject matter expert for MES enhancements related to CAR-T and site initiatives. Additional duties involve coordinating MES updates with other supply chain systems, executing MES validation activities, and maintaining documentation aligned with global procedures.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required, including demonstrated ability to translate business needs into system requirements. Experience in cell or gene therapy cGMP manufacturing and project planning is preferred. Proficiency with PAS-X is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently in a dynamic environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are also necessary.
The base salary for this position ranges from $107,482 to $141,070 USD, with actual compensation varying based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses and equity for eligible roles.
