Micro-electronics Technician
Anduril Industries is seeking a Micro-electronics Technician to join their team, focusing on the packaging and assembly of custom infrared image sensors. This role involves collaborating with engineers in a cleanroom environment to handle and test silicon wafers, wire bond image sensors into ceramic packages, and perform visual and electrical inspections of sensor chip assemblies. The technician will also operate custom test equipment to collect image data, contributing to the development of advanced defense technologies.
Key responsibilities include working with engineers to package, test, and assemble custom infrared image sensors in a cleanroom environment. The technician will handle and test silicon wafers using automated probe test stations, mount and wire bond image sensors into custom ceramic packages using a wire ball bonder, and perform visual and electrical inspections of fully packaged sensor chip assemblies. Additionally, the role involves installing sensor chip assemblies into liquid nitrogen high vacuum test stations and operating custom test equipment to collect image data using automated tools.
Required qualifications for this position include experience working with precision test and measurement equipment for development or production hardware, experience collecting data from devices under test using test and inspection equipment, and experience working with delicate hardware such as microelectronics assemblies, performing ultra-fine motor skill tasks. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include prior experience working within a cleanroom environment, experience with microelectronics packaging such as wire bonders, experience with electrical cabling assemblies, soldering, crimping, and debugging, and proficiency with SolidWorks and scripting/automation languages such as MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW.
