Mobile Device Repair Associate

MetTel is seeking a Mobile Device Repair Associate to join our Operations Team in Long Island City, NY. As a global communications solutions provider, MetTel offers a comprehensive suite of fully managed services focusing on secure connectivity, network, and mobility services. This role is integral to our warehouse operations and fulfillment processes, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our service delivery.

In this position, you will perform intermediate to advanced diagnostics and repairs on various Apple and Samsung electronics. Responsibilities include network unlocking Android devices through firmware flashing, operating laser stations for restorations on iPhone 8 and newer models, managing and replenishing repair parts inventory, and tracking returned or defective devices. Additionally, you will submit repair certificates post-repair and assist in optimizing our digital inventory system for mobile device assets.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong electro-mechanical aptitude. Preferred qualifications include experience with iOS, Android, and Windows operating systems; prior experience in cellphone or tablet repair; proficiency with Phonecheck diagnostics software; experience with JBC soldering equipment or similar; familiarity with REWA or other refurbishing equipment; experience with M-Triangel Laser equipment or equivalent; and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
