Modeling & Simulation Engineer - HILT, Air Dominance & Strike
Anduril Industries is seeking a Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer to join the Air Dominance and Strike division's Flight Engineering team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining high-fidelity virtual representations of various aerospace vehicles, contributing to the design and testing of advanced flight systems. The position emphasizes Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) simulation environments, requiring a strong background in electrical engineering.
Key responsibilities include creating simulation solutions for guidance, navigation, and control algorithm development, as well as implementing Software-In-The-Loop (SITL) and HITL systems. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to model subsystem and system dynamics accurately, ensuring safe and efficient flight tests. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining emulated interfaces for onboard avionics systems to enable closed-loop hardware testing in simulation environments.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, with experience in aerospace systems, including rotorcraft or VTOL vehicles. Proficiency in C/C++ and advanced skills in scientific computing tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Python are essential. Experience with flight dynamics, platform physics, control systems, and flight test data processing is also required. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $166,000 to $220,000 per year, along with equity grants.
