Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician at Voyager Technologies, Inc. is a critical role within our Minden, LA facility, focusing on the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. This position supports our operations in energetic materials and explosives manufacturing, ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems such as rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, and production machinery. The technician will also diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, starters, and variable frequency drives. Additionally, the role involves supporting basic PLC troubleshooting, executing preventive maintenance activities, and maintaining facility utilities and infrastructure.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma with 10 years of industrial maintenance experience or an associate’s degree in a related field with 7 years of experience. Essential skills include strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities, working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V, basic understanding of PLCs, and the ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. Experience in high-hazard manufacturing environments and PLC programming is preferred.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $28 to $38, depending on experience and skills.
