National Litigation & Claims Management Attorney

Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices nationwide, is seeking a National Litigation & Claims Management Attorney for its Portland office. This role offers flexibility with in-person, remote, or hybrid working arrangements, and involves representing a large national logistics services provider.

The attorney will independently manage a nationwide litigation caseload from inception through resolution, conduct thorough investigations, and proactively identify discovery issues unique to each case. Responsibilities include developing strategic discovery responses, monitoring and improving discovery processes, managing a national claims program, and collaborating with attorneys, partners, and clients to develop case strategies and discovery plans.

Candidates must possess a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, be admitted to practice in at least one state, and have over five years of litigation experience with strong discovery skills. Preferred qualifications include experience in multi-jurisdictional litigation, national claims programs, transportation, logistics, trucking, or related regulatory frameworks. Familiarity with emerging e-commerce or gig economy legal issues is advantageous. The role requires excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with advanced technical proficiency with litigation and discovery tools.

The position offers a salary range of $170,000 to $200,000, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
