As a Mid-Market Account Executive at Motive, you will play a crucial role in expanding our Mid-Market sales segment by acquiring new business from companies operating 50-174 trucks across the US and Canada. You will manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, acting as a dedicated "hunter" to identify opportunities, effectively communicate our value proposition, and secure key stakeholders. This position offers a significant opportunity to join our rapidly growing sales segment, with potential advancement into Upper Mid-Market and Enterprise roles, as well as sales leadership positions.

Your primary responsibilities will include driving new business acquisitions while consistently meeting or exceeding monthly revenue targets. You will lead all aspects of the sales cycle, including prospecting, conducting sales meetings, discovery, qualification, negotiation, and closing deals. Maintaining a high level of outbound lead generation through cold calling and strategic outreach is essential, along with leading discovery calls, demos, and trials to understand potential customers' business challenges and goals. Collaboration with related departments such as Sales Development, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success is also a key aspect of the role.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent SaaS closing experience, with at least 2 years of experience in a full-cycle sales role, preferably in SaaS. A proven track record of achieving quotas in a new business, outbound sales role is required. Experience partnering with Sales Engineers and Sales Development Representatives is advantageous. The candidate should be a self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a willingness to learn quickly and be a creative problem solver. A strong ownership attitude from prospecting to closing, along with a growth mindset and proactive initiative, is essential.

The compensation range for this role is $142,000 - $197,000 OTE, with uncapped commissions and equity, which may vary based on performance. Motive offers benefits including health, pharmacy, optical, and dental care, as well as 401k contributions, subject to eligibility requirements.
