Operations Business Partner
The Operations Business Partner (Ops BP) role at Canva focuses on enhancing the delivery, connectivity, and scalability of the CJKI region, which encompasses China, Japan, Korea, and India. This region comprises over 200 globally distributed professionals, including marketers, content creators, engineers, and product managers. The Ops BP plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless collaboration among these diverse teams.
Key responsibilities include supporting CJKI's alignment with company-wide objectives by managing goal stand-ups and reporting, as well as maintaining effective communication channels to keep stakeholders connected and unblocked. The Ops BP is also tasked with overseeing regional planning, logistics, rituals, and communications, ensuring that meetings and operational cadences run smoothly, and developing scalable systems and processes to enhance team execution.
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in operations, program or project management, or a similar team-enabling role. A passion for fostering team culture and connection is essential, along with a talent for creating experiences that engage and include distributed teams. Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English, are required to influence without authority, craft clear updates, and rally teams effectively.
