The Outbound Sales Manager, SMB at Block (Square) will lead a team of Account Executives focused on driving revenue growth among small and medium-sized businesses. This role involves building and developing a high-performing remote sales team that delivers exceptional results for both sellers and Square. The manager will leverage data-driven insights to coach and develop Account Executives while fostering a culture of high performance, ownership, and accountability.

Key responsibilities include creating a team culture of trust and accountability, supporting direct reports by participating in client and prospect meetings, and developing the sales team through hiring and training new Account Executives. The manager will promote rigorous sales development execution, oversee KPI management including hourly and daily metrics, forecasting, and pipeline management, and build predictable and repeatable sales funnel processes. Conducting weekly pipeline review and forecast meetings with Account Executives and coaching them on strategies to increase revenue and customer success are also essential duties.

The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience as a sales manager and a proven track record of exceeding targets as an individual contributor. Experience in hiring, training, and ramping new Account Executives is crucial, along with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across different teams and inspire change. Strong leadership and coaching skills, expertise in creating structure around sales metrics, and the ability to refine decision-making processes are also required.

Compensation for this role varies by location, with annual salaries ranging from $164,300 to $272,300 USD, depending on the geographic zone.
