The Partner - Emerging Technology role at WPP Media is designed for a marketing-first creative technologist to develop, pilot, and scale innovative content and experience solutions for Unilever. This position focuses on addressing brand and category challenges through the strategic application of technology and platform innovations across content, commerce, communities, and both online and offline consumer experiences.

Key responsibilities include translating marketing problems into tech-enabled solutions by reframing brand and business challenges through a technological lens, identifying opportunities where technology can enhance scale, speed, personalization, participation, or measurability, and acting as a bridge between strategy, creativity, and execution. Additionally, the role involves designing and deploying tech-enabled content systems that support both tactical campaigns and long-term platforms, encompassing areas such as content creation and optimization, community participation, commerce and shoppability, and integrations specific to mobile technology. Collaboration with content and business teams, media and trading teams, as well as platforms, publishers, and creators is essential to embed technology into ideas and narratives, evaluate platform efficacy, and unlock bespoke solutions.

The ideal candidate should possess a broad understanding of marketing technology and platform ecosystems, hands-on experience with creative tech workflows related to consumer journeys, rapid tooling, and prototyping. A strong ability to connect brand strategy to technological capabilities with demonstrable business or marketing outcomes is crucial. Comfort in working across creative, content, media, and tech stakeholders, along with clear communication skills to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences, is also required.
