Rocket Lab is seeking an experienced Payload Integration Engineer II to join our team in Long Beach, California. This role involves working under the direction of the Team Lead for Payload Integration, focusing on the integration of payloads with our Electron and HASTE launch vehicles. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with spacecraft customer integration teams and perform tasks associated with the physical payload integration process.

Key responsibilities include conducting hands-on payload integration activities such as fit checks, dispenser setups, and launch vehicle integration. The engineer will assist in on-site integration planning and coordinate daily meetings during launch site integration periods. Additionally, the role involves providing inputs for the development and verification of Launch Vehicle to Spacecraft Interface Control Documentation (ICD) and creating and executing assembly integration and test instructions.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline and have at least two years of applicable experience. An active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret or TS/SCI level is required. Previous experience in launch vehicle or space hardware integration is essential, along with advanced presentation and technical writing skills. The role also requires the ability to travel to launch sites and customer locations, including international destinations such as New Zealand.

Rocket Lab offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $100,000 to $130,000 annually.
