The Payroll Implementation GP Country Lead - APAC is a pivotal role within Remote's Global Payroll Operations team, focusing on delivering compliant and timely payroll solutions for international clients in the Asia-Pacific region. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to Remote's mission of simplifying global employment through innovative HR solutions.

Key responsibilities include leading payroll implementation projects from inception through parallel runs and the first live payroll month, attending sales and client handover calls, developing project plans and standard operating procedures, mentoring Payroll Generalists, collaborating with internal teams on platform improvements via user acceptance testing, and maintaining focus on key performance indicators and service level agreements to ensure seamless transitions to Payroll Operations.

Candidates should possess extensive payroll experience in a client payroll environment, expert legislative knowledge in the APAC region (ideally Australia or Singapore), payroll implementation experience (ideally Australia or Singapore), strong communication skills for explaining payroll processes and issues to customers and stakeholders, deep knowledge in using local payroll tools and software like SAP, Excel/Google Sheets, an analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities, ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact, experience in accounting/reconciliations, productivity mindset with constant focus on improving and speeding up work, understanding and preference for asynchronous work, and fluent English (written and spoken). Remote work experience is considered a plus.

Compensation for this full-time position ranges from $127,650 to $143,600 AUD annually.
