The Payroll Specialist Lead - Pakistan is a pivotal role within Remote's global payroll organization, focusing on delivering accurate and compliant payroll operations in assigned countries. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams across Payroll Operations, Tax, Finance, Product, and Customer Success, as well as coordination with diverse payroll partners. The role is ideal for mid-to-senior level professionals with extensive experience in managing complex payroll environments within globally distributed teams.

Key responsibilities include ensuring timely and compliant payroll processing, managing end-to-end payroll execution for designated jurisdictions, and staying abreast of legislative, tax, and regulatory developments affecting payroll operations. The role also involves supporting the implementation and rollout of payroll services in new or expanding regions, identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of payroll processes through automation and AI-enabled tools.

Candidates should possess significant experience in Pakistani payroll operations, including hands-on management of end-to-end payroll processing. Experience in multi-country payroll environments or global organizations is essential, along with a strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements. The role requires analytical and detail-oriented individuals with excellent problem-solving skills, proficiency in payroll tools and data analysis, and strong communication abilities in English. Experience working in remote or globally distributed teams is advantageous.

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from ₨9,376,650 to ₨10,548,000 PKR.
