Payroll Specialist Lead - Denmark
As a Payroll Specialist Lead in Denmark, you will serve as a subject matter expert for payroll operations, ensuring accurate and compliant processing of end-to-end payroll for the region while supporting global employment solutions. You will join Remote’s Global Payroll Operations Team, part of a fully remote, globally distributed company with team members across six continents, dedicated to building a best-in-class HR platform that enables compliant international hiring and payroll.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing stakeholder relationships across Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams; processing full payroll cycles including statutory filings, approvals, and payments; ensuring data integrity and quality; focusing on KPIs and SLAs; implementing process improvements; mentoring and supporting junior payroll specialists; and backing up regional managers during absences.
The ideal candidate will have payroll management or equivalent experience, knowledge of payroll best practices, proficiency in software tools like SAP and Excel, an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment. Fluency in English is required, and experience working remotely is considered a plus.
The annual salary range for this full-time position is 516,050 DKK to 580,000 DKK.
