Payroll Specialist Lead - Poland
The Payroll Specialist Lead - Poland is a pivotal role within Remote's global payroll organization, focusing on delivering accurate and compliant payroll operations in Poland. This position is integral to enhancing and scaling our global payroll processes, ensuring seamless integration within our Employer of Record (EOR) and Payroll Operations Team. The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders across Payroll Operations, Tax, Finance, Product, and Customer Success, as well as coordination with diverse payroll partners when necessary.
Key responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end payroll execution for assigned jurisdictions, validating payroll inputs and calculations, and ensuring compliance with country-specific regulations and statutory requirements. The role also entails acting as a subject matter expert on Polish payroll regulations, staying updated with legislative, tax, and regulatory developments, and supporting the operational implementation of payroll services in new or expanding jurisdictions. Additionally, the Payroll Specialist Lead is expected to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, contribute to process improvements, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance payroll operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate brings significant mid-to-senior level experience in Polish payroll operations, including hands-on responsibility for end-to-end payroll processing in Poland. Experience managing payroll in multi-country environments or global organizations, with exposure to different payroll systems and local regulatory frameworks, is essential. A strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements is required. The candidate should be analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex payroll scenarios. Proficiency in payroll tools and data analysis using in-house and external platforms is also necessary.
Compensation for this full-time position ranges from 152,550 PLN to 171,650 PLN annually.
