Perception Engineering Intern
The Perception Engineering Intern at Anduril Industries will join a dynamic team dedicated to developing advanced perception systems for autonomous aerial platforms. This role is integral to Anduril's mission of transforming defense capabilities through cutting-edge technology, focusing on enhancing autonomous operations and situational awareness.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing robust algorithms for real-time decision-making, creating accurate 3D models from multiple camera inputs, and integrating perception outputs with path planning algorithms to enable autonomous navigation in complex environments. The intern will also design experiments, curate training and evaluation datasets, and collaborate closely with robotics, software, and hardware teams to integrate perception algorithms into autonomous systems.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of 3D computer vision concepts, proficiency in standard domain libraries such as numpy, opencv, and pytorch, and experience with Python, PyTorch, or C++ programming languages are essential. Additionally, candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% and be eligible to obtain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
