Performance Marketing Lead

Duolingo is seeking a strategic and data-driven Director of Performance Marketing to lead its global user acquisition efforts across over 100 markets. This role involves managing all mobile acquisition campaigns, overseeing an eight-figure annual budget, and collaborating closely with agency partners and internal teams to scale one of the world's most beloved and innovative brands.

The Director will own and scale Duolingo's global performance marketing strategy, focusing primarily on mobile user acquisition. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring a growing team of performance marketers, managing performance marketing agency partners, and optimizing mobile install campaigns across major platforms such as Google UAC and AppLovin. The role also involves leveraging data-driven insights to improve key performance indicators like cost per install (CPI), retention, and monetization metrics, as well as collaborating cross-functionally with teams in Marketing Analytics, Creative, Engineering, and Finance.

Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience running large-scale, global mobile acquisition campaigns, strong analytical skills with expertise in mobile attribution and marketing analytics, and proven leadership experience in managing teams and large marketing budgets. Exceptional ability to craft and execute growth strategies aligned with broader business objectives and deep knowledge of the mobile user acquisition ecosystem are also required. Excellent communication skills and a strong drive to make an impact are essential.
