The Planning Lead at WPP Media is responsible for overseeing the development, quality, and coherence of international media planning for MGM's theatrical and digital distribution slate. This senior role leads the global planning hub, translating strategy into actionable media frameworks that scale across regions, ensuring unified planning processes and channel architectures. The position reports to the AMZ MGM Studios Global Strategy Lead.

Key responsibilities include leading the development of planning for each title, defining audience architecture, channel roles, pacing, and investment guidance. The Planning Lead translates strategic direction into clear frameworks adaptable by diverse local markets, establishes planning standards and templates, and maintains visibility across all planning workstreams to ensure coherence across titles and markets. Additionally, the role involves partnering closely with client leads and studio clients to develop incremental recommendations and implement tracking drills efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have significant global or multi-market media planning experience, preferably in theatrical or high-velocity categories. Deep expertise in channel strategy across digital, AV, social, programmatic, OOH, and partnerships is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead planning across multiple markets, titles, and timelines simultaneously, along with strong skills in synthesizing insights and translating strategy into actionable media plans, is required. Experience in managing and developing a planning team, as well as strong operational capabilities within structured workflows, is also necessary.
