Plant Superintendent
The Plant Superintendent at Voyager Technologies, Inc. is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production operations at the Minden, LA facility. This position ensures safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing performance in a PSM and DoD regulated environment, supporting defense and aerospace customers.
Key responsibilities include leading and directing production operations and maintenance across all shifts, ensuring alignment with production plans. The role involves managing production schedules, staffing, and resources to meet manufacturing output goals. Additionally, the Plant Superintendent promotes a strong safety culture, enforces compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory standards, and collaborates with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations. Alternatively, 15 years of relevant experience in chemical manufacturing may be considered in lieu of a degree. Essential qualifications include strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning, and process improvement within an industrial or high-hazard environment. Experience in leading production activities across multiple shifts, conducting incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions is also required. Leadership, communication, and coaching skills are critical, along with a minimum of 2 years managing teams of supervisors and operators.
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
