CannonDesign is seeking a Plumbing & Fire Protection IB to join their multidisciplinary team in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves working under the guidance of a licensed engineer and project leadership on various projects, including new constructions and renovations in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology sectors.

The primary responsibilities include designing uncomplicated piping and equipment selections for plumbing and fire protection systems, assisting with HVAC designs as needed, and preparing Revit/BIM models of construction drawings from schematic design to construction administration phases. Additional tasks involve editing specifications, reviewing submittals and shop drawings for compliance, conducting research, drafting reports, responding to RFIs, reviewing change orders, performing job site visits, and coordinating specific project activities.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably from an ABET-accredited program, with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Preferred qualifications include current CPD, PE in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering in the United States, LEED accreditation, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects effectively, and proficiency in engineering design programs like Revit.

The annual salary range for this position is $62,600 to $72,975, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
