Archer is seeking a Powertrain Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of its Electric Engine and Battery Technician teams, focusing on electric powertrain manufacturing. This role is pivotal in establishing scalable processes within a dynamic production environment, contributing to Archer's mission of advancing sustainable air mobility through the development of all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

The Powertrain Operations Manager will oversee production operations for electric motors and battery systems, providing leadership to technician teams via frontline supervisors. Responsibilities include identifying gaps in current workflows, implementing efficient procedures, establishing production metrics, and collaborating with manufacturing engineering to support equipment bring-up and process validation. The role also involves managing daily operations to meet safety, quality, and production targets, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and developing standard work and training materials.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field, along with over five years of experience in manufacturing—preferably within automotive, electric vehicle, aerospace, or other complex production environments. A minimum of two years in a leadership role managing production teams or supervisors is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong operational leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to build structures and processes in rapidly evolving manufacturing settings. Preferred experience includes high-voltage power systems, EV battery manufacturing, electric motor or powertrain manufacturing, and familiarity with production metrics and process improvement methodologies.

The company is committed to providing a safe workplace and requires successful passage of a background check and pre-employment drug screening for this safety-sensitive position.
