Anduril Industries is seeking a Principal Digital Hardware Engineer to lead the electrical engineering team in developing embedded compute solutions for vehicle management, digital signal processing, and networking. This role is pivotal in advancing Anduril's mission to transform defense capabilities through cutting-edge technology.

The successful candidate will oversee the complete PCB development cycle for host boards incorporating FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs. Responsibilities include defining requirements, schematic capture, board layout, bring-up, testing, and integration. Additionally, the role involves enhancing workflows throughout the FPGA and HDL design processes, collaborating with internal stakeholders to strategize scalable compute solutions, and managing product development schedules to ensure timely task completion.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with over 15 years of experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs in military, automotive, or similar hardware sectors. Proficiency in HDL languages such as VHDL or Verilog, familiarity with common MCU, CPU, and FPGA devices, and experience with standard interfaces like Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, and USB are essential. A strong understanding of signal and power integrity, modern analog and digital electronics, and competence with test equipment are also required. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance is mandatory.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with standards such as DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160, DO-311A, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461. Expertise in computer networking and experience implementing enhanced security measures are advantageous.
